Hanwha Defense USA Expands Team with Strategic Leadership Appointments

WASHINGTON – Feb 14 – Hanwha Defense USA (HDUSA) today announced the appointment of three leaders who will drive strategic growth in new domains and geographies. The appointments include:

·      Roger Camp | Senior Director of Business Development-Naval Platforms

·      Jason Pak | Senior Director of Business Development-Land Systems

·      James Kim | Senior Director of Business Development-Canada

Roger Camp is a retired Naval officer who joins the Hanwha team from General Atomics where he was the Director for Strategic Development. With more than 30 years of leadership and management experience, Camp has held strategic business development roles at companies such as Raytheon and General Dynamics. At HDUSA, Camp will lead all growth efforts in support of U.S. Naval missions and operations.

Former U.S. Army officer, Jason Pak, is transitioning to HDUSA from his role as Senior Director of Government Affairs (Defense) for Hanwha USA Corporate Affairs. In this new position, Pak will lead all growth efforts in land-based platforms and munitions. Prior to joining Hanwha in July 2024, Pak served the Commonwealth of Virginia as Deputy Secretary of Veterans and Defense Affairs. Additionally, Pak held several roles, including Director of Global Engagement and Manager of Army Programs at Boeing Government Operations.  

Given the need to bring greater focus across multiple domains in Canada, James Kim will assume the newly created role as Senior Director – Canada where he will lead and support captures across the Hanwha defense enterprise.  With more than 28 years of experience in the global defense industry, Kim has been an integral part of Hanwha since 2015. Before joining Hanwha, he directed defense export business development and marketing efforts at Samsung.
