Mitigating FOCI
Special Security Agreement
Hanwha Defense USA’s Special Security Agreement (SSA) is designed to mitigate the potential effects of Foreign Ownership, Control, or Influence while allowing Hanwha Defense USA and its subsidiaries to compete for and perform contracts on equal footing with other U.S. companies. The SSA incorporates a comprehensive mitigation framework that includes:
- Independent physical and network infrastructure
- Stringent controls and procedures for visitation and communications
- No parental governance clauses within the SSA
- U.S. citizenship for all Hanwha Defense USA senior officers
